  He spent 30-45 minutes here, perched on top of the fire pit cover and making 10 foot loops out to catch bugs then back to the perch. It was very windy so he's a little fluffed up in the pictures. He was the only one present. For identification, I used the Merlin app but didn't get any results that looked like him. My partner suggested that he reminded him of a small version of the Great Crested Flycatcher, so we searched on all flycatchers and the pictures of this one look exactly like the one featured for Alder Flycatcher. After discussion with a Cornell volunteer, this is likely an Eastern Wood Pewee instead, looks almost identical.
